Our Story
A family business, built on repeat customers
CEO Jack Saltzman has spent his career in the family printing business his father started after World War II — and brings that same service, quality, and value to every game we make.
It started with the family print shop
In 1967, CEO Jack Saltzman started working in the Saltzman family commercial print business that was started by his father after WWII. The business was successful and grew quickly due to the advent of low cost color separations and sheet fed printing.
Jack majored in Marketing and Advertising, and for him, it was now time to see how the classroom lessons translated into real life situations. It was challenging and fun. With the advent of the computer everything moved much faster and clients expected immediate results. The United States was on an advertising upswing that was growing by leaps and bounds.
It was an exciting time meeting new clients, producing full color catalogs, direct mail pieces and helping his clients grow their business through strategic marketing plans and coordinated advertising projects. Jack is most proud of his repeat business and client retention. The very good service, top quality and great value he offered was consistent in all his production projects. The old saying that “80% of your business comes from 20% of your clients” was very true for Jack.
Now, more than 35 years later, the business is still strong. At Chicago Game and Card, we are always finding new ways to improve our service, add product lines and meet the challenges of our clients.
We invite you to let us help you achieve the goals that you have set for the growth of your company. We are excited to quote your graphic or print project — call us for all of your commercial print, catalog and direct mail projects, and for custom manufacturing of card decks, card games, gameboards and family board games.
