Cette politique de confidentialité est rédigée en anglais. Si quelque chose n'est pas clair, contactez-nous et nous vous l'expliquerons volontiers.
This Privacy Policy explains how Chicago Game and Card ("we", "us", "our"), a division of Jax Grafx LLC doing business as Chicago Game and Card, collects, uses and protects information when you visit chicagogameandcard.com, use our Game Builder, request a quote, create an account, or talk with us through your project page.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only as a secure, one-way scrambled version (a salted hash); we can never see your actual password.
- "Continue with Google": if you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and a Google account ID with us. We do not receive your Google password or access to your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
- Quote requests: what you are making, quantities, component details, notes, your phone number, ship-to ZIP code and location type, links to your files, and any file you attach.
- Game Builder designs: the components you choose and the artwork you upload. Designs are saved in your own browser on your device. They are sent to us only when you request a quote, together with pictures of your components and print-ready files made from your artwork.
- Project pages and chat: messages you send us on your project page, your answers to proofs, and the progress of your order.
- Emails and reviews: emails you send us, and reviews you submit (your name, location, rating and review text; reviews are shown publicly only after we approve them).
Information collected automatically
- Cookies and browser storage: a few essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your language, and secure the sign-in process. Your browser also stores your Game Builder designs, unsent quote and chat drafts, your light or dark theme, and links to your project pages. See section 6.
- Basic analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits in a privacy-friendly way without advertising cookies and without tracking you across other websites.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.
2. How we use your information
- To prepare your quote, answer your questions, and make, ship and support your order.
- To run your account and project page, including chat messages and progress updates.
- To send you emails about your quote or order (for example, a new message from us or "your order has shipped").
- To keep our records of customer projects in our internal tracking tools.
- To protect the site and our customers from spam, fraud and abuse, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
- To understand, in general terms, how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent your information.
3. Google user data
When you choose "Continue with Google", we request only your basic profile information (name, email address and Google account ID). We use it only to create and sign in to your Chicago Game and Card account and to contact you about your quotes and orders. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except as needed to run the services described here.
Chicago Game and Card's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Separately, our staff connect our own business Gmail account to our internal tools so we can read and answer the emails you send us. This uses only our own mailbox. We never access your Gmail account.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with companies that help us run our business, and only what they need to do their job:
- Hosting and data storage: Vercel (website hosting) and Neon (our database), both in the United States.
- Email: Google (our business email) and Resend (the service that sends our website emails).
- Sign-in: Google, if you choose "Continue with Google".
- Manufacturing and shipping partners: the files and details needed to produce and deliver your order, and the shipping carrier you or we choose.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
If our business is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner, who must keep protecting it under this policy.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account, quote and order information for as long as your account is open and as needed for your orders, warranty questions, and our legal, tax and accounting records (usually up to seven years for order records). Chat messages are kept with the project they belong to. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 7).
Game Builder designs and drafts stored in your browser stay on your device until you delete them or clear your browser data. Files attached to a quote are kept in our business email with your quote.
6. Cookies and browser storage
- Sign-in cookie (cgac_session): keeps you signed in to your account for up to 60 days, or until you sign out.
- Language cookie (lang): remembers English, German or French.
- Google sign-in cookie (cgac_oauth): used for about 10 minutes while you sign in with Google, to protect the process.
- Browser storage: Game Builder designs and artwork, unsent quote and chat drafts, your theme, and links to project pages you have opened.
These are all needed for the site to work as you would expect. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Your choices and rights
You can contact us at any time to:
- see what information we have about you, or get a copy of it;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your account and personal information (we may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices);
- object to or limit how we use your information.
Visitors in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: we process your information to take steps you request before entering a contract and to perform our contract with you (quotes and orders), for our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business, and to comply with legal obligations. You have the rights listed above, plus the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents: you have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
To make a request, email chicagogac@gmail.com. We will answer within 30 days, and we may need to confirm your identity first.
8. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, private project links, and limited staff access. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe. Please keep your project page links and password private.
9. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and our website and service providers store information in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Children
Our website and services are meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top, and for important changes we will let account holders know by email or on the site.
